Terms of service
Plain-English terms for every VraiList booking. Paying for a booking confirms you accept them.
1. Who we are and who these terms are with
- “We” and “us” means Amadea Andree Hristopoulos, trading as VraiList (ABN 24 580 717 968), Adelaide, South Australia.
- “You” means the person who books and pays. If you book on someone else’s behalf (for example as an organiser, move manager or family member), you are our client and receive the register or Selling Pack, unless we agree in writing that it goes to someone else.
- These terms apply to every VraiList booking, including bookings paid through a payment link on our website. Paying confirms you have read and accept them. The version on our website on the day you pay is the one that applies to your booking.
2. Home packages: what’s included
- A room-by-room register of the contents shown in your photos, with brand, model and visible condition where possible.
- Every item checked by a real person before you see it.
- A review copy for you to mark each item keep, sell, donate, discard or give to family, and to add anything we haven’t seen.
- One round of changes after your review.
- Indicative resale estimates for items you mark Sell (we research recent sold prices), up to your package limit, highest value first.
- A final photo PDF report and an editable spreadsheet.
3. Resale Price Check ($49)
- We research recent sold prices for up to 10 items from your photos and email you a Selling Pack within 2 business days of receiving all usable photos. For each item: a likely resale range, a suggested asking price and lowest offer to accept, where to sell it and why, a ready-to-post listing (title and description) and a selling tip.
- Jewellery, watches, art, antiques and designer items get a rough guide range and a recommended next step instead of a price and listing (see section 7).
- Items likely to sell for under about $20 are grouped as smaller items to bundle, donate or take to an op shop, rather than priced one by one.
- Upgrade credit: if you book a home package within 30 days of receiving your Selling Pack, $49 comes off the package price using the single-use code we send you.
- Refunds: a full refund if you cancel before we start researching your items. If photos haven’t arrived within 60 days of payment, we may close the order and refund the fee in full.
4. Timeframes
- Draft register: within 3 business days of receiving all usable photos, or 5 business days for 7–10 rooms. If any photos are unclear, we’ll ask for retakes, and the clock starts once they arrive.
- Your review: please return your decisions within 14 days. If we haven’t heard from you after 30 days, we’ll finalise the register with unmarked items left as Undecided.
- Final report: within 2 business days of receiving your completed review. For a posted booklet, the 2 days start when it reaches us (Australia Post regular letters generally take 3–7 business days each way). Texting us a photo of each page is the fastest way back.
- If we’re delayed (for example by illness or a technical problem), we’ll tell you as soon as we know and give you a new date. If the new date doesn’t suit you, you can cancel and we’ll refund the fee for any work not yet delivered.
5. Your responsibilities
- Authority: you confirm you own the contents or are authorised to document them (for example as executor, under a power of attorney, or with the owner’s written permission). If there’s a disagreement about who owns the contents or who can give us instructions (for example between beneficiaries), please tell us. We may pause work until it’s settled.
- Photos: you supply clear photos following our Photo Guide. We can only list what the photos show.
- Private information: please switch off location tagging, and don’t photograph people, family photos, ID documents, bank cards, letters, medication, passwords, alarm panels, keys or anything showing your address. If we notice any, we won’t record them.
- Other people: if your photos or messages include information about other people (for example family members who’ll receive items), please let them know you’re using our service.
- Accuracy: you check the review copy and tell us about anything missing or wrong before the final report.
6. What we don’t do
- The register is a visual record of the photos supplied. It may not include items in areas, drawers or containers that weren’t photographed, and we can’t promise every item is captured.
- We don’t visit homes, and we never collect, store, move, sell or hold items, or deal with buyers on your behalf.
- We don’t decide ownership or how items should be divided. The decision columns record what you tell us.
- We don’t give legal, financial, tax or insurance advice, and we don’t lodge, manage or advise on insurance claims or contact insurers for you.
- We don’t price or write listings for firearms, ammunition or other weapons, medicines, alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, live animals, or anything that appears unlawful to sell. These are noted as “not priced”. Firearms and ammunition must be handled through a licensed dealer or the police.
7. About resale estimates and listings
- Resale estimates are indicative only, based on recent sold listings and current retail prices at the time of research. They are not certified valuations.
- Actual sale prices depend on condition, demand, timing and how an item is sold. We don’t guarantee that an item will sell, or sell for the estimated price.
- Jewellery, watches, art, antiques and designer items are flagged for a certified valuer. In a home register we don’t price them. In a Resale Price Check we may give a rough guide range, based on similar genuine items that have sold. This assumes the item is genuine and is not a valuation, and we don’t write listings for these items. We strongly recommend a certified valuation, or authentication for designer goods, before you sell.
- Our registers, estimates and Selling Packs are not suitable for probate, estate accounts, tax or capital gains, Centrelink or aged care means tests, insurance, or family law property settlements. Please use a certified valuer for these.
- Listings describe only what your photos show. Please check each listing, condition and price before posting: you’re the seller and are responsible for what you advertise and for following the selling platform’s rules.
- Some items have safety rules when sold second-hand (for example cots, prams, child car seats, bunk beds, toys for young children and electrical items). We don’t check items for recalls or safety standards. Please check productsafety.gov.au before selling.
8. Your photos, your register and privacy
- Your photos are collected through a private upload link made for your job and are used only to prepare your register or Selling Pack.
- A real person checks all our work. We use secure business software to help prepare drafts, set so that your photos aren’t used to train it. Some providers store data outside Australia. Our privacy policy at vrailist.com.au/privacy lists them.
- We delete your photos 30 days after your final report or Selling Pack is delivered, or sooner if you ask. Our providers then remove deleted data from their own systems, usually within a further 30 days, unless they must keep it longer by law or for security reasons.
- We remove location and device details from every photo before we work on it.
- We never record people, family photos, documents, mail, medication, passwords, keys or anything showing your address, even if they appear in a photo.
- Your photos and register are never shared or sold, including to a partner who referred you, unless you ask us to or the law requires it.
- You keep ownership of your photos. Your register and Selling Pack are yours to use as you wish. We never use your photos or your register in our marketing without your written permission.
- We keep basic booking records (your name, contact details, what you bought and what you paid) for 5 years because tax law requires it.
9. Extras and changes
- If your home has more entries or Sell items than your package includes, we’ll tell you before doing the extra work: $49 per extra 25 entries and $49 per 10 more resale prices researched, on top of your package.
- A garage or shed counts as one room each. Bathrooms, laundry, hallways and entry are included free. More than 10 rooms, a granny flat, a large workshop, under-house storage, roof space or a second round of changes are quoted before we start them.
- Ways to review your list: on screen (included), a printed booklet by email (included) or posted to you ($29), or a phone review call with us ($89, included with 7 to 10 rooms).
- Colour sticker pack to tag furniture for moving day: $19 posted.
- Promotion codes and credits: one per booking, not combined with any other offer or code, and valid until the expiry date stated with the offer. They have no cash value.
- No extra charge is ever added without your written approval.
10. Payment and cancellations
- Prices are fixed, in Australian dollars, and GST is not charged. Payment is due before work begins.
- Card and other payments are processed by Stripe (and Klarna or Zip if you choose them). We never see your full card details.
- Home packages: cancel before we start your draft for a full refund. If photos haven’t arrived within 30 days of payment, we’ll check in. After 60 days we may close the job and refund the fee less $50 for setup.
- Once your draft register or Selling Pack has been delivered, we don’t give refunds if you simply change your mind. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (section 12).
11. When we may decline or stop work
We may decline a booking, or stop work before it’s finished, if we can’t get usable photos, if there’s an unresolved disagreement about who is authorised, if the job involves something unlawful, or if we’re treated abusively. If we stop, we’ll tell you why in writing and refund the fee for any work not yet delivered.
12. Your consumer rights and our responsibility
- Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that we’ll provide them with due care and skill and within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights.
- If something we delivered isn’t right, please tell us and we’ll fix it at no cost. If we can’t fix it, we’ll refund the fee for the part that’s affected, or more if the Australian Consumer Law entitles you to it.
- Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we’re not responsible for indirect losses, such as a lower sale price than estimated, an item that wasn’t in your photos, or decisions you or others make using the register or Selling Pack.
13. Questions and complaints
- Email [email protected] or call 0411 588 605. We’ll reply within 5 business days and aim to resolve any complaint within 30 days.
- If we can’t resolve it, you can contact Consumer and Business Services SA on 131 882 (cbs.sa.gov.au), or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory.
14. General
- We may update these terms for future bookings. Changes never apply to a booking you’ve already paid for unless you agree.
- We’ll send notices to the email address you gave us when booking.
- If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia.
